A lesbian private detective falls in love with a suspect in the disappearance of a young woman. The film is based on the verse novel of the same name by Australian poet Dorothy Porter.
Mickey (Abbie Cornish) este o tinara poeta renumita pentru poemele sale extrem de puternice despre sex si dragoste. Cind aceasta e data disparuta, de ancheta se va ocupa detectivul privat Jill Fitzpatrick (Susie Porter). Aceasta nu stie prea multe despre poezie, asa ca prima anchetata este Diana (Kelly McGillis), profesoara si mentorul tinerei poete. Jill este lesbiana, si descopera ca este puternic atrasa de Diana, care era, totusi, maritata. Pina la urma, cele doua femei…
