A dramatisation that follows Tony Blair's journey from political understudy waiting in the wings of the world arena to accomplished prime minister standing confidently in the spotlight of centre stage. It is a story about relationships, between two powerful men (Blair and Bill Clinton), two powerful couples, and husbands and wives.
In 1992, Tony Blair, liderul Partidului Laburist, merge in SUA si este impresionat de viziunea politica a presedintelui Bill Clinton, pe care o foloseste sa-si restructureze partidul. Doi ani mai tarziu il vede din nou pe Clinton, iar acesta ii prevede ca va ajunge premier. Astfel incepe asa-zisa "relatie speciala" intre cei doi, care va da semne de deteriorare cativa ani mai tarziu.
