The Laurel & Hardy Moving Co. have a challenging job on their hands (and backs): hauling a player piano up a monumental flight of stairs to Prof. von Schwarzenhoffen's house. Their task is complicated by a sassy nursemaid and, unbeknownst to them, the impatient Prof. von Schwarzenhoffen himself. But the biggest problem is the force of gravity, which repeatedly pulls the piano back down to the bottom of the stairs.
O doamna din inalta societate se gandeste ca sotul ei trebuie sa-si cultive mai mult talentul muzical, motiv pentru care ii ofera de ziua acestuia cadoul optim: o pianina. Pana aici totul este normal, insa desemnati pentru livrarea cadoului sunt Stanley si Oliver. Cei doi incarca pianina in caruta si o transporta cu ajutorul martoagei lor plictisite. Ei reusesc sa livreze cu bine pianina la domiciliu, insa ajunsi acolo au o problema. Doamna, "proprietara sotului" deci si a pianinei, le cere celo…
