A true-life drama in the 1920s, centering on British explorer Col. Percy Fawcett, who discovered evidence of a previously unknown, advanced civilization in the Amazon and disappeared whilst searching for it.

Lost City of Z este un film bazat pe fapte reale, povestea exploratorului britanic Percy Harrison Fawcett, ce încerca să găsească aşa-numitul City of Z, în 1925, moment în care a dispărut, împreună cu întreaga sa echipă. În următorii 70 de ani, numeroşi exploratori au încercat să recreeze paşii lui Fawcett. Filmul este bazat pe cartea non-fiction scrisă de David Grann.
