As Rincewind involuntarily becomes a guide to the naive tourist Twoflower, they find themselves forced to flee the city of Ankh-Morpork to escape a terrible fire, and begin on a journey across the Disc. Unknown to them, their journey and fate is being decided by the Gods playing a board game the whole time.
Planeta cu totul neobisnuita, purtata in spatiu de o broasa testoasa, este pentru prima oara vizitata de un turist bogat dar naiv, Twoflower (Sean Astin). Fost student la vrajitorie, incompetentul Rincewind (David Jason) devine involuntar ghidul sau. Fortati sa paraseasca orasul Ankh-Morpork din cauza unui incendiu, cei doi incep o calatorie plina de aventuri pe Discworld.
