The scene of the crime is Whitechapel, the same London district notorious for the recent attacks of Jack the Ripper. Three monks are found dead, the apparent victims of a vampire - now, someone else is out for blood. Or is it something else? As bizarre events unfold, the answer is left to Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson to find.

Când un călugăr e găsit mort într-o mănăstire, cu urme de muşcături pe gât, confraţii săi apelează la Sherlock Holmes. Sinistra crimă, petrecută curând după câteva atacuri atribuite lui Jack Spintecătorul, laolaltă cu întâmplările stranii care o însoţesc, sfidează ceea ce înseamnă totul pentru Holmes, logică. Genialul detectiv e decis să-l găsească pe ucigaşul cu sânge rece, deşi, după spusele călugărilor, acesta nu e altul decât un vampir legendar.
