Seymour Krelborn is a nerdy orphan working at Mushnik's, a flower shop in urban Skid Row. He harbors a crush on fellow co-worker Audrey Fulquard, and is berated by Mr. Mushnik daily. One day Seymour finds a very mysterious unidentified plant which he calls Audrey II. The plant seems to have a craving for blood and soon begins to sing for his supper.
Legenda spune ca in timpul eclipselor totale de Luna se petrec tot felul de lucruri stranii, neintelese de locuitorii Pamantului. Un astfel de fenomen are loc undeva in America. Aparitia unei plante inofensive la prima vedere se dovedeste a fi o adevarata catastrofa! Un tanar inocent isi ia in serios rolul de ingrijitor al plantei pe care o hraneste cu propriul sange, botezand-o cu numele propriei sale iubite. In curand, totul devine un cosmar.
