In 1827, Berthet, the son of a craftsman and a young seminarian, was tried and sentenced to death for murdering his former mistress, the wife of a notable who had hired him as tutor to his children.
Aventuri, love story, ecranizare a cunoscutului roman cu acelasi nume de Stendhal. Dramaticul destin al tanarului de origine modesta Julien Sorel, care, ajuns in apropierea celor bogati, e ametit de fast, inrait din cauza diferentelor sociale si distrus de iubire. Ecranizarea reda cu fidelitate imaginea epocii, iar actorul Kim Rossi Stuart, interpretul romanticului Julien, e fermecator, misterios, fascinant.
