Joan of Arc is born in 1412 in the village of Domrémy in the war zone of Northern France. During her youth she often witnesses the horrors of war, but her spirit is kept high by the legend of the Maiden of Lorraine. This says that a young maiden one day will unite the divided country and lead the people to freedom.
O legendă pe care a prevăzut-o profetul Merlin: după aproape un secol de război, o tânără femeie va uni poporul francez divizat şi îl va conduce spre libertate... În anul 1412, într-un sat sărac, se naşte Ioana D`Arc, cea care va fi condusă de Dumnezeu spre a-şi împlini destinul şi profeţia lui Merlin. Deşi condiţia ei umilă şi faptul că este femeie sunt impedimente serioase, credinţa ei o va ajuta să ajungă până la Regele Charles şi să-l convingă pe acesta să o lase să lupte în numele său pentru poporul francez...
