When Jessica moves back into her childhood home with her family, her youngest stepdaughter Alice develops an eerie attachment to a stuffed bear named Chauncey she finds in the basement. Alice starts playing games with Chauncey that begin playful and become increasingly sinister. As Alice’s behavior becomes more and more concerning, Jessica intervenes only to realize Chauncey is much more than the stuffed toy bear she believed him to be.
Când Jessica (DeWanda Wise) se mută înapoi în casa copilăriei sale cu familia, cea mai tânără fiică vitregă a sa, Alice (Pyper Braun), dezvoltă un atașament straniu față de un ursuleț de pluș pe nume Chauncey pe care îl găsește în subsol. Alice începe să se joace cu Chauncey jocuri care, din amuzante și copilărești, devin din ce în ce mai sinistre. Pe măsură ce comportamentul lui Alice devine de-a dreptul îngrijorător, Jessica intervine doar pentru a-și da seama că Chauncey este mult mai mult decât simplul ursulețul de pluș pe care ea îl credea.
