Stan and Ollie check into a seedy hotel and help a young girl escape the clutches of the landlord. They are forced to flee the hotel with no money and Ollie arranges for Stan to fight at a local boxing hall for $50. Stan's opponent turns out to be Musgy who uses a loaded glove. During the fight the glove is swapped and Stan triumphs only to find that Ollie has bet their fee that he would lose.
Stan si Bran tocmai ce sosesc dintr-o calatorie pe mare si, ajunsi la mal pornesc in cautarea unei camere de hotel, dar nu a uneia oarecare ci a uneia cu expunere sudica. Ajunsi la hotelul "Odihna Marinarilor" ii solicita patronului Mugsie Long camera dorita. Simpla semnatura in registrul hotelului se dovedeste extrem de complicata, in special pentru Stan. Cand vad o frumoasa femeie alergand bezmetica pe scari si plangand in hohote, sunt repede lamuriti de Long ca feme…
