A short feature-documentary film dedicated to the bright memory of Andrey Tarkovsky - the great master of world cinema. In 1965 A. Tarkovsky visited Armenia, Geghardavank. It is hard to say what he has been looking for and what he has seen there. Fortunately has fixed (on occasion) several frames (6min., 35mm, b/w) from the visit of the greatest master in Geghardavank. Anyway, such frames provide an opportunity for connecting the past and the present by making new shootings and fulfilling the "gaps" which have been missed by the camera 45 years ago. What is the ideology? Indeed, what was Andrey Tarkovsky looking for at the church of the XIII century in such a rocky place? Probably, he was looking for God. ... because nothing else is significant in Geghardavank and around. Only the presence of God is felt in that place.
Un scurt lungmetraj-documentar dedicat memoriei strălucitoare a lui Andrey Tarkovsky - marele maestru al cinematografiei mondiale. În 1965, A. Tarkovsky a vizitat Armenia, Geghardavank. Este greu de spus ce a căutat și ce a văzut acolo. Din fericire a reparat (ocazional) mai multe cadre (6min., 35mm, alb-negru) de la vizita celui mai mare maestru din Geghardavank. Oricum, astfel de cadre oferă o oportunitate de a conecta trecutul și prezentul prin realizarea de noi fotografii și umplerea 'golurilor' care au fost ratate de cameră în urmă cu 45 de ani. Care este ideologia? Într-adevăr, ce căuta Andrey Tarkovsky la biserica secolului al XIII-lea într-un loc atât de stâncos? Probabil că îl căuta pe Dumnezeu. ... pentru că nimic altceva nu este semnificativ în Geghardavank și în împrejurimi. Doar prezența lui Dumnezeu se simte în acel loc.
