In 1914, the Mexican revolutionary Pancho Villa invites studios to shoot his actual battles against Porfírio Diaz army to raise funds for financing guns and ammunition. The Mutual Film Corporation, through producer D.W. Griffith, interests for the proposition and sends the filmmaker Frank Thayer to negotiate a contract with Pancho Villa himself.
Antonio Banderas interpreteaza rolul principal in acest film care reda un capitol mai putin cunoscut din viata revolutionarului mexican Pancho Villa. Ne aflam in anul 1914: in timp ce razboiul de rebeliune al lui Villa impotriva fortelor lui Huerta se apropie de un deznodamant nefericit, acestuia ii vine o idee geniala pentru a-si finanta cruciadele. De fapt, ideea ii este servita pe tava: legendarii regizori americani D.W Griffith si Harry Aiken, pe vremea aceea ocupati…
