Nina and Madeleine have been sharing their lives and the landing between their two apartments for decades. After more than 20 years of loving in the shadows, Madeleine promises Nina she will tell her family the truth. It takes an unexpected event to show her the importance of living your truth.

Nina si Madeleine sunt profund indragostite una de cealalta. In ochii celorlalti, ele sunt insa doar doua vecine pensionare  care locuiesc la ultimul etaj  din acelasi imobil. In realitate, cele doua traiesc impreuna, trecand in voie dintr-un apartament in celalalt. Nimeni nu banuieste nimic, nici macar Anne, fiica grijulie a lui Madeleine. Pana intr-o zi cand un eveniment tragic da totul peste cap.
