Rezumat (EN)

A solitary scholar discovers an ancient bottle while on a trip to Istanbul and unleashes a djinn who offers her three wishes. Filled with reluctance, she is unable to come up with one, so the djinn tries to inspire her with his stories.

Dr. Alithea Binnie (Tilda Swinton) este mulțumită de viață și privește lumea cu un scepticism sănătos. În ciuda acestui fapt, ea întâlnește un Djinn (Idris Elba) care îi oferă trei dorințe în schimbul eliberării lui. Aceasta este o problemă, deoarece ea este specialist în arta narațiunii și cunoaște toate poveștile cu morală despre dorințele care au mers prost.
