Un barbat de origine iraniana (jucat de Ali Mossafa), confruntandu-se cu probleme de cuplu cu sotia frantuzoaica (Berenice Bejo), o paraseste pe ea si pe cei doi copii intorcandu-se in tara de bastina. Intre timp, sotia sa incepe o relatie cu un francez (Tahar Rahim), cerandu-i fostului sot divortul. Acesta se va reintoarce in Franta doar pentru a-si descoperi sotia impreuna cu alt barbat, in fosta lui casa si alaturi de copiii lui.
