In 1944 Poland, a Jewish shop keeper named Jakob is summoned to ghetto headquarters after being caught out after curfew. While waiting for the German Kommondant, Jakob overhears a German radio broadcast about Russian troop movements. Returned to the ghetto, the shopkeeper shares his information with a friend and then rumors fly that there is a secret radio within the ghetto.
In 1944, in Polonia ocupata de nazisti, Iacob, proprietarul unei cafenele de mult inchise dintr-un ghetou evreiesc, aude din intamplare un buletin de stiri la un post de radio interzis. Adus in biroul comandantului german pentru o presupusa incalcare a interdictiei de a circula noaptea, Iacob aude o stire despre victoriile fortelor sovietice asupra germanilor, intr-un oras aflat nu foarte departe de ghetou. Desi plin de bucurie, el nu poate impartasi vestea compatriotilor sai pentru a nu fi banu…
