Long, long ago, in a time of magic and dragons, there lived a girl named Rapunzel who had the most beautiful radiant hair the world had ever seen. But Rapunzel's life was far from wonderful. Acum foarte mult timp, intr-o epoca a magiei si dragonilor, traia o tanara pe nume Rapunzel, care avea cel mai frumos si mai stralucitor par pe care lumea il vazuse vreodata. Dar viata lui Rapunzel era departe de a fi frumoasa, caci ea traia ca servitoare a unei vrajitoare rele si invidioase pe nume Gothel, care o tinea ascunsa in strafundurile unei paduri de nepatruns, pazita de un dragon urias pe nume Hugo si inconjurata de un zid de sticla, vrajit.
