Babe is a little pig who doesn't quite know his place in the world. With a bunch of odd friends, like Ferdinand the duck who thinks he is a rooster and Fly the dog he calls mum, Babe realises that he has the makings to become the greatest sheep pig of all time, and Farmer Hogget knows it. With the help of the sheep dogs, Babe learns that a pig can be anything that he wants to be.
Filmul descrie aventurile unui porc care vrea să devină câine ciobănesc. În România, filmul a rulat dublat în limba romană. (Fiind primul experiment de acest gen.) Babe este un porcuşor care nu-şi cunoaşte locul în lume. Cu un grup ciudat de prieteni, ca Ferdinand, raţa ce se crede cocoş, sau Fly, câinele căruia i se adresează drept "mama", Babe îşi dă seama că poate deveni cel mai renumit porcuşor ciobănesc din toate timpurile; iar fermierul Hogget este conştient de acest lucru. Cu ajutorul câinelui ciobănesc şi a oilor, Babe învaţă că un porcuşor poate deveni orice îşi doreşte.
