Un razboinic pe nume Zhong Kui, care detine puteri misterioase, este prins intr-o batalie intre taramurile dintre cer, pamant si iad in care se vede nevoit sa lupte pentru a-si salva semenii, dar si pe femeia pe care o iubeste. Desi puterile divine nu tin cont de dragoste sau de vointa oamenilor, intre Zhoing Kui si iubita sa, Snow Girl, apare o frumoasa epopee romantica.
