Aging wrestler Randy "The Ram" Robinson is long past his prime but still ready and rarin' to go on the pro-wrestling circuit. After a particularly brutal beating, however, Randy hangs up his tights, pursues a serious relationship with a long-in-the-tooth stripper, and tries to reconnect with his estranged daughter. But he can't resist the lure of the ring and readies himself for a comeback.
Randy "The Ram" Robinson (Mickey Rourke), un wrestler profesionist celebru prin anii '80, este forțat să se retragă când un atac de cord îi dovedește că va muri în ring dacă nu renunță la sport. Bărbatul se angajează într-un magazin de delicatase, se apropie de o stripteuză trecută de prima tinerețe și încearcă să se reîmpace cu fiica lui înstrăinată. Totuși, ocazia unui meci împotriva vechiului său oponent, Ayatollah-ul, îl face pe Ram să-și încerce pentru o ultima oară puterile în ring.
