Rezumat (EN)
The film is set in France in the 1990s, the French were defeated by the Germans early in World War II, an armistice was signed in 1940 which effectively split France into a German occupied part in the North and a semi-independent part in the south which became known as Vichy France. In reality the Vichy government was a puppet regime controlled by the Germans. Part of the agreement was that the Vichy Government would assist with the 'cleansing' of Jews from France. The Vichy government formed a police force called the Milice, who worked with the Germans...
Rezumat (RO)
Este povestea vârstnicului francez, Pierre Brossard (Caine), care ca şi simpatizant al naziştilor în timpul celui de-al doilea război mondial, a fost responsabil pentru moartea a şapte evrei, şi acum trăieşte o viaţă liniştită şi anonimă în sudul Franţei. Viaţa sa lejeră este însă zdruncinată atunci când noi membrii ai guvernului francez lansează o investigaţie (după ce membrii “vechii gărzi” atât din Guvern cât şi biserica catolică l-au ajutat să se ascundă timp de 50 de ani) şi el devine ţinta poliţiei, asasinilor şi a faimosului vânător de nazişti (Swinton).
