Un barbat fara nume, care a fost odinioara un criminal nemilos, se intoarce in orasul natal pe care l-a parasit cu 10 ani in urma pentru a o salva pe frumoasa Porphyria, o femeie alaturi de care a copilarit si pe care a iubit-o toata viata fara sa o poata avea, care in prezent este casatorita cu altcineva si a devenit mama. Cunoscut sub porecla "Calugarul nebun" datorita devotamentului neclintit fata de Porphyria si datorita nepasarii fata de propria viata, barbatul a decis sa renunte la trec…
