Stranded on a mountain after a tragic plane crash, two strangers must work together to endure the extreme elements of the remote, snow-covered terrain. Pelicula este bazata pe romanul cu acelasi nume si urmareste povestea a doi straini: Ben Bass (Idris Elba), un medic si Alex Martin (Kate Winslet), o scriitoare, care sunt obligati sa aiba incredere unul in altul, in timp ce incearca sa supravietuiasca unui accident de avion in Rezervatia Naturala Uinta, din Ohio.
