Meryl Streep stars as Ricki Rendazzo, a guitar heroine who made a world of mistakes as she followed her dreams of rock-and-roll stardom. Returning home, Ricki gets a shot at redemption and a chance to make things right as she faces the music with her family.

La doua decenii dupa multi-premiatul Philadelphia, regizorul Jonathan Demme revine in atentie cu Ricky and the Flash, o dramedie cu Meryl Streep in rolul unui star rock ajuns la senectute. Eroina isi da seama ca a venit vremea sa lase in urma deceniile de concerte explozive si relatii ultra-mediatizate si sa revina in sanul familiei de care s-a distantat pe nesimtite. Faptul ca fiul ei trece printr-un divort neplacut este poarta de intrare in cercul copiilor si al rudel…
