It’s summer, on the beach of this little town in Brittany, a man is building a sand castle. A few people watch him. We will be told the story of three of them: a boy, Jumbo, aged 9; François and his sister Zaza. All of them had to deal with the death of somebody they cherished.

Este vară, iar pe plaja unui orășel din Bretania, un bărbat în jur de 40 de ani construiește un castel de nisip. Câțiva oameni îl privesc. Ni se va spune povestea a trei dintre ei : un băiat, Jumbo, în vârstă de 9 ani; Francois, în vârstă de 30 de ani, și sora sa Zaza, în jur de 40 de ani. Toți au fost nevoiți să se confrunte cu moartea unei persoane pe care o prețuiau. Cum să continue să trăiască după asta?
