Spring in wartime. Each day a milkman crosses the frontline on a donkey, dodging bullets to bring his precious wares to the soldiers. Primavara in vremea razboiului. In fiecare zi, un vanzator de lapte trece linia frontului, calare pe un magar, pacalind gloantele pentru a putea duce mult asteptatele bidoane pline soldatilor. Binecuvantat cu noroc pentru a-si putea duce la capat misiunea in fiecare dimineata, iubit de o femeie frumoasa din sat, laptarul pare sa aiba un viitor linistit... pana cand sosirea unei misterioase italience ii intoarce viata pe dos.Astfel incepe povestea unei iubiri nebun…
