Alex Kerner's mother was in a coma while the Berlin wall fell. When she wakes up he must try to keep her from learning what happened (as she was an avid communist supporter) to avoid shocking her which could lead to another heart attack.

Selecţie oficială Berlin 2003 – “The Blue Angel” premiul pentru cel mai bun film european. Octombrie 1989 a fost un moment inoportun pentru coma în care a căzut mama lui Alex, în Germania de Est. Când, opt luni mai târziu, aceasta se trezeşte, Alex va trebui să-i evite orice şoc mai important. El va transforma familia şi apartamanetul lor într-o insulă a trecutului, pentru a-i da mamei comuniste impresia că totuşi Lenin a învins!
