The Fate of the Habsburgs - The Tragedy of an Empire is a 1928 German silent film directed by Rolf Raffé about the last decades of the Austro-Hungarian ruling house under the reign of Emperor Franz Joseph I. Fritz Spira and Erna Morena play the ruling couple, and the young Leni Riefenstahl can be seen in a role as the crown prince's lover, Mary Vetsera, which is unusual for her career.
