Stockholm East is the love story between two strangers, bound together by a tragedy that has taken its toll on both their lives and relationships. When Johan and Anna meet at the railway station connecting Stockholm with the idyllic suburbs where they both live, they embark on a dangerous journey of passion and lies.
Filmul incepe cu un accident auto soldat cu decesul unei fetite de 9 ani. Tragicul eveniment ii va marca atat pe vinovat (Johan) cat si pe parintii fetitei (in special pe mama, Anna). In sala de asteptare a spitalului Johan o vede pe Anna (fara ca aceasta sa-l cunoasca ). Impresionat de suferinta ei si simtindu-se vinovat (desi scapa nepedepsit) isi propune sa o ajute, sa o protejeze. Dupa o perioada de timp drumurile lor se intersecteaza si incep sa se intalneasca, se redescopera si, inevitabi…
