The small city of Tarker's Mill is startled by a series of sadistic murders. The population fears that this is the work of a maniac. During a search a mysterious, hairy creature is observed. This strange appearance is noticed once a month. People lock themselves up at night, but there's one boy who's still outside, he's preparing the barbecue.
Micul orăşel Tarker's Mill era foarte liniştit. Până când într-o noapte, încep crimele. Locuitorii cred că este un criminal în libertate şi au de gând să îl vâneze şi să îl oprească. Marty, un tânăr băiat cu probleme, crede că ucigaşul nu este un bărbat, ci un vârcolac. Marty şi sora lui, Jane, îl caută în tot oraşul pe omul care se transformă în vârcolac.
