Zezé is an 8 year old boy who, although a naughty boy, has a good heart. He leads a very modest life, due to the fact that his father has been unemployed for a long time, and has the habit of having long conversations with a sweet orange tree which is in his backyard. Until one day he meets Portuga, a man who begins to help him and soon becomes his best friend.

Zeze are aproape 8 ani. Traieste la tara impreuna cu familia lui saraca. El este sensibil si precoce. Este un bun povestitor si are mereu idei noi! Refugiul lui favorit este un portocal caruia ii poate povesti toate lucrurile rele care i se intampla, toate vestile bune si nazbatiile lui secrete. O poveste induiosatoare despre dragoste si prietenie care relateaza cea mai neasteptata intalnire. Filmul este bazat pe cartea omonima a lui Jose Mauro de Vasconcelos.
