London, England, May 2000. The peaceful life of elderly Joan Stanley is suddenly disrupted when she is arrested by the British Intelligence Service and accused of providing information to communist Russia during the forties.

Un film dupa un caz real despre cea mai longeviva spioana rusa (Melita Norwood - interpretata magistral de o Judi Dench la 84 de ani) aflata in slujba MI5. I s-a spus "Bunica spioana". A fost demascata la 80 de ani ca spioana rusa fiind acuzata ca a dat rusilor in anii '40 cercetarile britanicilor referitoare la bomba atomica. A murit la 93 de ani.
